 Yes - I was "forced" to wear civvies in the summer of '77 on a TDY to several DEW line sites in socialist Canada.

I was stationed at Cimone from 1979-1980 as they implemented the Digital European Backbone there to replace the 486L and the site went unmanned after we 4 left. I was also at KTTC 68-69 (left weeks before Camille) and Hahn AB PTF from 73-77 when you were at Bann. I think I have an article from Airman magazine about the Northern Italy sites including Cimone.
